Summary

As you can see from my last post the effect of the Global Warming are getting worse from day to day and the earth’s temperature is increasing. That tells us that there will be a series problem in the near future. The Government, businessmen, people and also children should save the earth. Because it is the only place were have for living. If we don’t have earth that means that there is no life and no thing. Let us do it together, let us save our earth and enjoy our times and lives. And that only if we stop the global warming causes by working together.

Individual action

Individuals in the UAE are concerned about the problem of global warming because such a problem is affecting the whole world. There are many things that they can do to contribute to decreasing global warming. Most important of all, all people need to have a comprehensive knowledge about this problem, its causes and effects. Next, they should overcome the causes that can be controllable. For instance, they need to reduce their activities that highly participate in causing global warming; those activities include using factories and vehicles that release carbon dioxide. They should also plant more trees since they have a positive effect on the weather and air. The more they lessen their activities, the safer our world is.

UAE AND GLOBAL WARMING

UAE newspapers are also concerned about the universal problem of global warming. The Gulf News, for example, always follows this topic and its news all over the world. On 30/01/2007, it published an article that was previously published in the Daily Telegraph Newspaper in the United Kingdom. The title of the article was "Global warming will be catastrophic to cities", the author of this article is Charles Clover. As the title denotes, global warming has very serious effects on the world countries. In the article, the writer reveals a message to the peoples of the world in general and to the politicians in particular warning them that the increasing temperatures are a result of the human increasing activities. The UAE government recognized the danger of the global warming. Therefore they are trying to find a solution to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions. Transportation is the main reason for global warming and that forced the government to find better and cleaner sources of transportation. A Dubai railway is one of the best solutions for traffic pollution.

SOLAR RADIATION AS A CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING

Solar radiation is considered the main source of heat on the Earth. It can be noticed through the sunshine if it is not blocked by the clouds. However, this radiation causes an increase in the air temperature. It has been noticed that the amount of radiation received by objects on the Earth varies depending on the distance between the Earth and the Sun.

Recently, the Earth has experienced large variations in solar radiations so that scientists consider this matter as a main factor in the occurrence of the most common problem of global warming. Some researchers suggest that the sun contributed about 40 -50% of the global surface temperature warming during 1900-2000.

Effects of Global Warming

Global warming is a universal threat due to its many bad effects that can be noticed in many different aspects of life. Most important of all is the effect of having extreme weather that will lead to more catastrophes as a result of the global warming. In addition, there will be a rise in the sea level leading to more floods on the Earth. Another effect is apparent on the ecosystem because global warming will push some creatures to leave their habitats and consequently become extinct. The increasing warming and carbon dioxide may have a negative result on the ecosystem productivity. Also, forests fires can be caused by global warming.

All the above mentioned effects will lead to big economical losses because of the results of having more drought and water scarcity. This will surely cause famine and consequently more deaths.
